Banana Pudding

This must be a southern thing. Banana Pudding (or banana puddin as my husband calls it) is delicious!!! I grew up with banana cream pie but it is not the same.

I have had a craving for banana pudding all day. My husband has a yummy recipe where he uses Nilla Wafer cookies. I found this recipe over at Spectacular Sidaway Spot. I have to try this!!! Doesn’t this sound YUMMY?

Ingredients:
1 12-ounce container frozen whipped topping thawed, or equal amount sweetened whip
1 14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk
1 8-ounce package cream cheese, softened
2 cup milk
1 5-ounce box instant French vanilla pudding
6-8 bananas, sliced
2 bags Pepperidge Farm Chessmen cookies
Directions
Line the bottom of a 13x9x2-inch dish with 1 bag of cookies and layer bananas on top.
In a bowl, combine the milk and pudding mix and blend well using a handheld electric mixer. Using another bowl, combine the cream cheese and condensed milk together and mix until smooth. Fold the whipped topping into the cream cheese mixture. Add the cream cheese mixture to the pudding mixture and stir until well blended. Pour the mixture over the cookies and bananas and cover with the remaining cookies. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
Yield: 12 servings
Preparation time: 30 minutes

  1. That does sound good right now. I love banana pudding. My mom used to make it all the time with the Nilla wafers. Yummy stuff!

  2. Hi Sam!
You asked a while back if my bedroom always looks like that. Are you kidding me?!? I took those pictures on the day the photographer was coming over when our house was on the market for the virtual tour. If you scroll back to January 2008 on my blog, I think you'll see some more normal pics. :) I have much better things to do than make sure my bedroom is spotless. My boys love forts too...
