New Years Resolutions

Do you make a New Years resolutions every year? Do you stick to it? I have decided not to this year!

My goal last year was to send out real birthday cards to all friends and family members on time. I know not a life changing resolution but it really makes me smile when I receive actual mail. From the mailman. In my mailbox.

So many people wish you a Happy Birthday or send a little note through email and now Facebook but taking the time to send a card really means a lot to me. So…that is what I wanted to do last year. DID NOT HAPPEN! Why?? No clue. I am still going to work on that this year. Why do you think New Years resolutions do not stick? Is it the pressure? Is it the year long commitment that is so hard?

After Christmas Decorating

I love the white lights of the Christmas tree and my mantel. My favorite is to curl up and watch tv with just the white lights on. After Christmas when the tree comes down and the decorations get put away I miss the twinkle. I have been looking for some decorating ideas to keep the white lights up after Christmas but have not found much. Any ideas??

I Heart My Secret Santa

This year I participated in the Secret Santa Soiree and I am SO glad I did!

I was SO excited! My kids kept asking if those were presents for them. Nope…these were Mommy’s presents!

A soft pink scarf and a green mug filled with mini Reese’s cups. It’s like my SS knew me in real life! ;)

My very favorite coffee in the world, pretty bead bracelets and a sweet Christmas card.

Fun!!! A bow maker,  candle, folders, a binder, pencil case and a Creativity book.

Thank you, Thank you, to my Secret Santa. I cannot wait to find out who had my name! I really had a lot of fun with this!

Another Wonderful Giveaway!

OMG! I NEED to win this Oreck vacuum. I really really need one. In a house with 3 dogs, 3 cats, 2 kids and 1 husband, I vacuum every single day. I have to. I have OCD and maybe that is part of it but I cannot stand the thought of dirty floors. My kids love to play on the floor with cars, games, everything. I have a steam floor cleaner but I had no idea a vacuum could do all this….take a look at this post over at Trying to Stay Calm! She has one to give away to one lucky reader!!!!
